Seriously, I don’t get all worked up about Mother’s Day–I like to just have the day off.
But if people were wondering what I might like for Mother’s Day, or what would make a good gift for a forty-something Mom in Podunk, or elsewhere, here’s a a few ideas for you:
1. A Kindle.
Fire, please. With Color. [Go big or go home, I say!] Yes, I have a smart phone, but it’s too small to read books on. And now that I have my own little iPhone, I don’t really want to give up the color. You know…if I wanted Mother’s Day gifts, of course.
2. Perhaps a cover
and a gift card
so I can load up on books, too?


3. Sticking with the curling up with an ebook theme…
what about a Hammock? A snazzy one…
4. Let’s keep stick with this, shall we?
Something to cozy up with while I lounge…a warm throw

5. Let’s round things out with some snacks.

As I said, I don’t really expect much from Mother’s Day but the day off. But these things could go a long way in making that day off just that much nicer…
