I am not a mall girl.
I just wanted to get that out of the way right up front. My preferred method of shopping involves a cup of coffee, my happy light and my computer. And pajamas…definitely P.J.s.
My approach to shopping really dovetails well into the fact that I live in Podunk, New Hampshire and the closest mall to me is a forty- five minute car ride, and it’s in Taxachusetts.
Consequently, I have a variety of on-line favorites, as seen below. These are generally affiliate links, so if you want to support my writing endeavors and your in the mood to shop, please click through using the links.
You should know, that I will only ever use affiliate links of companies and brands that I am willing to personally vouch for. In the near future, I’ll be adding some other links to affiliate stores as I publish my reviews of them.
I’ve been an Amazon fan for well over a decade now, since the good old days when they only sold books. I received a magnet with one of my first purchases that said, “A room without books is like a body without a soul.” It is on my refrigerator right now, holding up a school notice. From last year, but let’s not split hairs.
Nowadays, Amazon sells *everything*. I’ve bought Bounce Bars and 3M sticky products, clothes, gifts of all kinds, Legos, household items…you name it. And I never pay shipping. Well, truthfully, I pay “shipping” once a year–in the form of my annual Prime membership fee.
This is an incredible value assuming one thing: You purchase at least 20 items from Amazon in twelve months. They charge $3.99 per item for shipping Amazon-stock, (sometimes more for non-Amazon sellers) and the Prime membership costs $79. Living in Podunk, this helps me to satisfy my instant-gratification needs. Not to mention my OMGITotallyForgotThatBirthdayThatsNextWeek needs.
Once you’ve hit item #20, the membership pays for itself. PLUS? All sorts of other perks just for being a Prime Member. Two-day shipping. Always two day, always free. Free downloads. Go check out their info…if you’re any kind of a regular online shopper, you really should at least consider a Prime Membership.
Disclaimer: I love Amazon. I was an Amazon shopper back in the days when they only sold books. Additional Disclaimer: I’m an Amazon Associate. Any time you click on an Amazonian Link, you tickle my affiliate account. If you buy something, I may earn a referral fee, so thank you!
I also have a little shop on Amazon. I’ve included in it books and games and such that have been a hit with my family, or are highly coveted (…ahem…Kindle…). I really enjoy adding to the books that my kids have liked. Sometimes, I find that knowing what other kids are currently enjoying helps me to make new selections for my voracious readers. So I offer y’all a peek at our picks, for the same reason.
In non-Amazon shopping, I was pleasantly surprised a while back to find that my little Cafe Press shops had gotten some action.
For a snarky gift for your sister, try this loving sentiment.
Or maybe this peaceful scene is the right one for your bro.
All purchases that you may make from via my site help to support my blogging endeavors, so allow me to simply say,
Thank you!
Stay tuned for future updates to my online shopping favorites!
